Per person and month, billed annually. The data processing agreement is part of every plan, including the free one, and nothing about your data depends on which one you are on. A plan covers Lithic: other apps in your account are subscribed to separately.
The prices shown are total prices and include German VAT, the rate we are registered for. Consumers in another EU country are charged their own country’s rate instead, so the total differs there by a few cents; the exact amount is shown before you pay. Businesses can enter a VAT identification number when signing up; the invoice then shows the net amount separately.
The amount is fixed when you subscribe, for the people in the workspace at that moment, and charged once a year. People who join later do not change it — write to us to change the number of seats, the plan, or to cancel.

Questions people ask first
- When can I sign up?
- Lithic is pre-release. The early-access list is the only way in right now, and it means exactly one email — sent when signup opens, not before.
- Where is our data?
- In a data centre in Germany, processed inside the EU. The data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR comes with every plan, including the free one.
- Can I see my calendar in the planner?
- Yes. Connect a Google or Microsoft 365 account, or paste the address of an ICS or webcal calendar, and the meetings you already have are drawn beside your own rows. Each calendar is read-only until you allow writing for it; after that, moving or renaming a meeting here changes it in the real calendar. A subscribed ICS calendar is never written to.
- Can colleagues see that the time is taken?
- If you want them to. Point a document at one of your calendars and every task that has a day and a start time shows up there as a real event — its title and its span, and nothing else. Switch it off again and those events are removed.
- Does it work without a connection?
- Mostly. Your outlines are kept on the device as well as on the server, so you can keep writing offline and the two catch up when you are back. Add Lithic to your home screen and a reload with no connection opens the app with the documents you had open, instead of the browser’s error page. Creating documents and moving things around still needs the connection.
- What happens to our outlines if we stop paying?
- They come out as Markdown, with the structure and the scheduling intact: download a document from its own menu, select rows and copy them, or fetch a whole document over the API. That path is tested on every release, because a way out nobody tests is a promise nobody keeps.
